Working at Height in the Office

`Working at height’  means working in a place where a person could be injured by falling from it, even if it is at or below ground level. Working at Height Regulations applies to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury and covers all industries.


Course Objectives


To provide candidates with an understanding of the UK Work at Height Regulations 2005 and on practical solutions to comply with this legislation. The following course is aimed at employees who potentially work at height during their daily activities in both office and retail environments.


Course Content


· Work at Height Regulations

· Appreciation of fall hazards

· Working at height risk assessments

· Safe Systems of Work

· Safe use of Ladders/Stepladders

· Risk control measures



Who should attend


Any person who works at height, plans work at height or is responsible for conducting relevant risk assessments. Includes reference to basic activities such as using stepladders for short  duration jobs.




Candidates will complete a written assessment at the end of the course. Candidates will need to achieve a pass mark of 7 marks out of a possible 11 in order to pass the following course. A certificate of attendance will be awarded to each successful candidate.



Course duration: 2 Hours (refreshment of Tea and Coffee included)
