Access Towers (mobile)         


Course Objectives


To provide candidates with an understanding of the need for the safe erection and dismantling procedures of mobile access towers. It trains the operative to a level of competence to carry out tower inspections and to create a safe system of work when working with mobile access towers.


Course Content


Candidates will be shown theory and practical aspects covering:


● Health and Safety Law.

● Inspections and Register.

Manufacturers Instruction Manual

● 3T and AGR Assembly Methods

● Component Use and Inspections to be carried out.

● Toe-boards and Guard rails.

● Height to Base Ratio—Use of Outriggers and Stabilisers.

● Assessment Paper.

● Practical Section—Erection and Dismantling of the Mobile Access Tower (BOSS).


Who should attend - Any person who erects and uses or is responsible for mobile scaffold towers.


NOTE: All Candidates should be physically fit please take note that the course practical will consist of stretching and reaching with span frames. Candidates must bring all personal protective equipment (safety boots, hard hat, Gloves & High Viz Vest, if this is not brought candidates will be unable to complete course)


Assessment - Candidates will be continuously assessed during the course and complete a test at the end of the course.


Please note: All our courses are delivered in English. All delegates must have a good understanding of written and spoken English to attend this course.


A Certificate of Training will be awarded to each successful candidate.


NOTE: PASMA accredited course can be arranged upon application.
