Confined Space Entry
Course Objectives
To acquire knowledge of the dangers and hazards linked with working in a confined space and to create a safe system of work and familiarisation with escape techniques with knowledge to implement safety measures for confined space entry using a combination of both practical and theory training sessions.

Legislation
Definition of 'Confined' space
Gas composition and hazardous environments
Risk Assessments / Safe system of work
Thorough understanding of the dangers of confined space
Training in gas detection and monitoring
Practical use of tripod (Harness* must be provided by candidates)
Who should attend
This course is intended for any person directly or indireclty involved in entry to confined spaces. All candidates should be medically and physically fit to participate.
(A medical form must be completed prior to commencement)
*Equipment you are required to bring
Hard hat, gloves, safety boots and Hi-viz vest / jacket and safety harness
Assessment
Delegates will be assessed by a theory test and will be required to complete a practical exercise. Successful participants will be awarded a certificate of training valid for 3 years.
Please note: All our courses are delivered in English. All delegates must have a good understanding of written and spoken English to attend this course.
A certificate of Training will be awarded to each successful candidate.

Cost: £195.00 per person
Course Dates: Please register for interest. Please note during the COVID pandemic no courses for this course can be undertaken until Guernsey reach Phase 6.
